The King Kennedy Community Center in Ravenna recently hosted its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration. Despite the chilling temperatures, more than 80 people came out to support the event and give thanks to the revolutionary Dr. King. Attendees were able to hear a poetry reading from Felicia Howard, listen to musical selections performed by Brown Middle School students, under the direction of Carol Klohn, and gain inspiration from a message of the Rev. Gregory Freeman. Afterwards, participants were able to fellowship, converse, and enjoy refreshments. The King Kennedy Community Center wants to thank all those in attendance and to also extend an invitation for all community members to participate in upcoming events.
