Free classes at the Kent Free Library, 312 W. Main St., will teach how to use computers and different software programs.

Classes will be offered from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays in February and focus on basic computer skills, such as using the mouse (Wednesday), opening and closing programs (Feb. 12), and getting on the Internet and finding websites (Feb. 19).

On Thursdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m., classes will provide an orientation to popular Microsoft Office 2010 programs: Microsoft Word on Thursday, Microsoft Publisher on Feb. 13, and Microsoft Excel on Feb. 20.

No registration is necessary; come to the computer lab no more than one half hour before each session for a boarding pass. Space is limited.

These classes will be repeated in March. Find a complete schedule at www.kentfreelibrary.org or stop by the Information Desk for a flier.
