Sam Cooper of Mogadore to perform in Mount Union play

Published:

Sam Cooper of Mogadore is a cast member in the University of Mount Union Theatre Department's production of "The Dining Room," opening Thursday in Presser Recital Hall.

Cooper is a freshman intervention specialist and middle childhood education major.

Set around a dining room table, "The Dining Room" is one of A.R. Gurney's best-known works and takes a lighthearted poke at the WASPs of New England, one of Gurney's favorite targets.

The play will be directed by Kevin P. Kern, assistant professor of theater.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Presser Recital Hall is located within Cope Music Hall at Union Avenue and Simpson Street on the Mount Union campus in Alliance.

Due to ongoing construction at the site of the new Performing Arts Complex, no on-site parking is available behind the building.

Alternate parking is available on Simpson and Vincent streets and in the Eells Art Center parking lot, as well as in other campus parking lots.
