50-Plus Club to meet on Thursday

The first meeting of the year for the Rootstown 50-Plus Club will be held Thursday at the First Congregational Church of Rootstown, United Church of Christ Hall.

If the Rootstown Schools are closed due to bad weather, the meetings of the 50-Plus Club will be canceled also.

The doors open at 11:30 a.m. and lunch is served at noon. Hostesses will be Nellie Coffey, Grace Coleman, Betty DeMali and Lucile Moore.

The program will be presented by Justin Kaszowski, supervisor of Gross Anatomy at the Northeastern Ohio Medical University in Rootstown. He will be introduced by Mike Kerrigan, director of public relations at NEOMED.

All seniors in the area, and those interested in donation of their bodies to research and medicine, may attend. Members are reminded to bring a pantry item for local food cupboards. Member and program directories will be handed out at this meeting.
