Free computer classes are set to begin at the Kent Free Library, 312 W. Main St. Participants will learn how to use computers and different software programs.
Classes offered on Wednesdays from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in April focus on basic computer skills, such as using the mouse (Wednesday), opening and closing programs (April 9), and getting on the Internet and finding websites (April 16).
On Thursdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in April, participants will get an orientation to popular Microsoft Office 2010 programs: Microsoft Word on April 3, Microsoft Publisher on April 10, and Microsoft Excel on April 17.
No registration is necessary; attendees should arrive at the computer lab a few minutes before each session for a boarding pass. Space is limited.
