Area students to present research at Mount Union

The following area ­students will present scholarly research at the University of Mount Union's seventh annual Student Celebration Honoring Our Latest Academic Research on Tuesday.

Kyle Dreger of Kent is a senior computer science and writing major.

Asti Evans of Mogadore is a senior accounting and finance major.

Emily Stafford of Aurora is a senior information systems and Japanese major.

Johnathan Hartong of Ravenna is a senior mechanical engineering major.

Glenn Hatala of Atwater is a sophomore mechanical engineering major.

Scholar Day is a campus-wide day filled with presentations showcasing academic excellence and scholarly research conducted by Mount Union students.

Three formal presentation sessions and two poster sessions will be included this year, highlighting 51 formal presentations and 108 speakers during three hour-long sessions.

There will also be 27 posters on display this year.

This event gives students a chance to share their latest academic research with faculty, staff, students, family, friends and the surrounding communities.

Scholar Day is free and open to the public.

Programs will be available the day of the event, and guides will be stationed at all presentation facilities.
