Air Force Airman Nathan Hersman of Kent completes training

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Nathan M. Hersman graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Hersman is the son of Nicole M. Hersman and Richard M. Graves, grandson of Annette M. Hersman, and nephew of Maria L. Castilow, all of Kent. He is also the grandson of Roger M. Hersman of Stow.

He is a 2013 graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent.
