'Wizard of Oz' comes to Falcon Academy

The Falcon Academy of Creative Arts will present the young performer's edition of "The Wizard of Oz" on May 19 and 20 at the academy, 1473 Saxe Road, Brimfield.

Under the direction of Katelyn Koppelberger and Laura Goldman, music director, the fourth- through seventh-grade choir students will present the story.

Performances will be held at 9:30 a.m. (free for seniors) and 7 p.m. May 19, and 7 p.m. May 20. Tickets are $5 for adults, and $3 for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Featured students are Maggie Kreiner as Dorothy Gale, Brooke Joiner as Auntie Em, Nathan Monk as Uncle Henry, Elek Kitchen as the scarecrow, Edie Mothersbaugh as the Lion, Henry LaBelle as the Tin Man, Joy Carpenter as Toto, Kyle Snyder as Oz, Sara Roeger as Glinda, Sydney Kirbabas as the Doorman, Marley Grimm as the Guard, and Kimberly Griggy as the Wicked Witch of the West.
