Amanda Richards graduates magna cum laude

Former Deerfield residents Dean and Kitty Richards announce the graduation of their daughter, Amanda Richards.

Amanda graduated magna cum laude on May 10 from Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va., with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and a minor in psychology.

She is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, TRIO and the Criminal Justice Honor Fraternity Alpha Phi Sigma and served as secretary her senior year. Amanda volunteers her time helping at-risk youth in Huntington and is active in a youth mentoring program.

Amanda has been accepted into the Criminal Justice and Criminology Graduate Program at Marshall and will begin pursuing her master's in the fall. She is employed by Marshall University and resides in Huntington.

Amanda is a 2010 graduate of Wirt County High School in West Virginia where her parents reside. She is the granddaughter of Henry and Patricia Naef of Ravenna and the late Shirley Naef, Gay Richards and John Richards.
