Attracting birds will be library program

The public may join the Kent Master Gardeners for a free program at 7 p.m. July 9 at the Kent Free Library on attracting birds to their backyard. Presenters will discuss the importance of a biodiverse (wildlife friendly) landscape and how to help their feathered friends, no matter what size the lot is or where they live.

Attendees will learn how even a small city lot can play an important role in wildlife conservation, when they landscape to provide food, water, shelter, and nesting areas.
