The Southeast FFA Chapter took 18 members and six chaperones to the 89th Annual State Convention, where they visited the FFA Expo and watched three of their members receive their State FFA Degrees. Those members were Kelsea Ebie, Michael Kline and Olivia Shaulis.
Meredith Oglesby visited the Southeast chapter on May 12. Members played fun activities and learned how to set and achieve their goals for their future.
The annual Petting Zoo and Tractor Safety Day was held May 18. Southeast fourth-graders visited for farm day where they petted the animals, learned about tractor safety, and went into the classroom for snacks and a coloring contest. Waterloo second-graders also visited, along with Southeast preschoolers. The FFA had a total of five tractors and 12 farm animals present.
The FFA cookout was held May 25 for those who reached their class goal in selling citrus fruit and beef jerky.
