The Portage County Historical Society will host its annual Open House from 2 to 4 p.m. June 17.
All the outside buildings will be open for viewing as well as the Carter and Strickland Houses.
The Indian village features Dakota Bob Kunst as tour guide and Civil War re-enactor Jeff Jones will be on hand to share Civil War stories.
Also featured will be Custers' Alpacas,Daughters of the American Revolution -- Old Northwest and Aaron Olmstead Chapter, Cmdr. William Wetmore Charter Daughters of 1812, and the Liberty Camp For Kids will be there.
The Portage County Gardeners and the Herb Society have provided several Patriotic-themed floral arrangements that will be offered for sale at the end of the event.
Admission is free, donations are welcomed. Light refreshments will be available.
