Crestwood class of 1967 hosts 50-year reunion

Members of the Crestwood High School class of 1967 gathered recently at the Sugarbush Golf Club in Garrettsville for their 50-year reunion. There were 65 people in attendance, including 42 classmates.

Serving as master and mistress of ceremonies, respectively, were Bill Ungar and Amy (Grayson) McCoy.

Organizing committee members are Kurt Horack, Carol (Guyette) Denzinger, Jay Goodell and Amy (Grayson) McCoy, all of Mantua, John Buonpane of Ravenna, Dale Moravec of Aurora, Dale Gharky of Akron, Bill Ungar of Mentor and Arlene (O'Connell) Gorczycki of Boston Heights.

Photo displays and a memorabilia table were set up for the event. Special guests attending were Virginia Goodell of Mantua, former Crestwood High School educator; Carole Pollard of Mantua, former junior high teacher; and Mick Nuspl of Nutley, N.J., former Crestwood High School educator.

The class members plan to celebrate their 70th birthdays in 2019.
