ELECTION UPDATE: Portage Parks levy widens lead; Kline, Christian-Bennett, Berger, Broder apparent winners

The Portage Park District appears to be on its way to victory, with 4,999 votes in favor and 3,736 against, according to returns from the Portage County Board of Elections. About 43 percent of the vote has been tallied.

Apparent winners in county races include Vicki Kline (D) and Sabrina Christian Bennett (R) in the primary contests for commissioner and Bob Berger (D) and David Brode (R) in the primary for probate/juvenile judge. All continue to widen their leads over their challengers.

The Ravenna school levy is losing by about 200 votes.
