The northeast corner of the state, however, may escape with just cloudy

skies, the National Weather Service said.

There's also a chance of thunderstorms in the southern half of the state

on Wednesday.

Temperatures will continue to be relatively cool, with highs mostly in

the 50s, forecasters said.

The record-high temperature for this date at the Columbus weather station

was 101 degrees in 1936 while the record low was 48 in 1943. Sunset tonight

will be at 8:24 p.m. and sunrise Wednesday at 6:48 a.m.
