Temperatures tonight are expected to drop to near-record levels in the low to mid-40s.

Unseasonably cool conditions will continue on Thursday, with highs mostly in the 60s, the National Weather Service said.

The record-high temperature for this date at the Columbus weather station was 99 degrees in 1953 while the record low was 43 in 1946. Sunset tonight will be at 8 p.m. and sunrise Thursday at 7:02 a.m.
