Showers expected on Wednesday

A band of showers and thunderstorms will precede the front as it moves across the state, forecasters said.

Temperatures will continue to be unseasonably warm with highs in the low to mid-80s.

Drier air and cooler temperatures are likely on Thursday, the National Weather Service said.

The record-high temperature for this date at the Columbus weather

station was 96 degrees in 1897 while the record low was 40 in 1916.

Sunset tonight will be at 7:38 p.m. and sunrise Wednesday at 7:14

a.m.
