An approaching high pressure system is expected to bring milder, but also moister, southerly air into the state.

Showers are likely in northwest Ohio tonight and over the entire state on Friday, forecasters said.

Lows tonight will be in the upper 30s to mid-40s.

The record-high temperature for this date at the Columbus weather

station was 83 degrees in 1947 while the record low was 23 in 1969.

Sunset tonight will be at 6:41 p.m. and sunrise Friday at 7:52

a.m.
