The mercury could crack the 50-degree mark in parts of southern Ohio on Thursday, forecasters said.
Southerly winds being pumped into the area by a weak high pressure system will produce the slightly warmer temperatures but also will bring additional moisture.
Rain or snow is forecast for the weekend as temperatures start to drop again.
