Wind advisory in Portage County until 4 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Portage County which will remain in effect until 4 p.m. today.

According to the advisory, a strong cold front may produce sustained winds of 20-30 miles per hour with gusts of up to 50 miles per hour today. The service predicts minor limb damage from the wind.

A wind advisory is issued when sustained winds are between 31 and 39 miles per hour or gusts range between 46 and 57 miles per hour.
