Center of Hope to collect donations at Ravenna Christmas Parade

The Center of Hope will be participating in the Ravenna Chamber of Commerce's holiday parade on Saturday. Volunteers will be walking along the parade route collecting toys and nonperishable food item donations for their upcoming Christmas give-a-way.

Food items the center needs include boxes of mashed potatoes and stuffing, canned fruit, vegetables, sweet potatoes, gravy, applesauce, cake or muffin mix, pudding, rice and turkeys and hams.

Gifts are also needed for children up to age 17 including unwrapped games, dolls, stuffed animals, sports items and gift cards. Hats, mittens, gloves and scarves are also welcome.

Donations can also be dropped off at the Center of Hope, 1034 W. Main St., Ravenna, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
