The Portage County Sheriff's Association, which is not affiliated with the Portage County Sheriff's Office, recently donated $500 to the Brimfield Police Department to benefit the Christmas Fill A Cruiser event Shown are George Laird, on behalf of the association, and Brimfield police officer Brett Dinkelman. Officers will accept donations of cash, non-perishable food, toys, and personal care items from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. today at three locations -- the Brimfield Walmart at 250 Tallmadge Road, the Marshall's at 3975 Cascades Blvd. and the Speedway gas station at S.R. 43 and Interstate 76. Proceeds from the event will be distributed by the Brimfield Community Cupboard.
