Two Streetsboro men and a Ravenna man have been arrested and charged with robbing a South Water Street drive-through in Kent at knifepoint on Sunday night.
Nichoals M. Lescsak, 23, of 9344 Hickory Ridge Drive, Streetsboro, David Steward Jr., 19, of 10010 Delores Drive, Streetsboro, and John R. Fredericksen, 21, of 1020 Park Ave., Ravenna, allegedly robbed the University Drive-Thru at 541 S. Water St., according to Kent police.
Detectives said he men entered the store at 7:53 p.m. Sunday, brandished a knife and demanded money from the clerk.
They allegedly fled on foot after taking an undisclosed amount of money and other merchandise from the store, according to Kent police.
Lescsak and Fredericksen are charged with one count each of robbery, a second-degree felony. They likely will be arraigned today in Portage County Municipal Court.
Steward is charged with one count each of complicity to robbery, a second-degree felony, and underage consumption, a first-degree misdemeanor, for allegedly possessing or consuming alcohol at Williams and South Water streets the night of the incident. He was arraigned in Portage County Municipal Court in Kent on Tuesday and ordered held in the Portage County jail on 10 percent of $30,000 bond.
At the time of his arrest by Kent police, Steward was wanted by Streetsboro police on charges of theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a minor misdemeanor, for allegedly stealing $625 worth of merchandise from the Streetsboro Walmart and possessing a marijuana pipe on Dec. 20, according to court records.
Court records also give a recent address for Steward on South Diamond Street in Ravenna.
