Kent woman crashes into creek in Bath Township

Police in Bath Township in Summit County said Janice Coburn, 42, of Kent, spent an hour in the waters of Yellow Creek Thursday after surviving a one-car crash on Yellow Creek Road. According to the Bath Police Department, Coburn was driving to work when her car spun out on a patch of ice. She was discovered by a passerby and taken to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for hypothermia symptoms. Her condition was not available. Yellow Creek Road was closed for four hours while a crane removed the vehicle from the creek.
