Police investigate armed robbery near Kent State University campus

Kent police are investigating an armed robbery reported on Loop Road near the edge of Kent State University campus Monday night.

Kent police Lt. James Prusha said two victims reported three men wearing white bandanas over their faces assaulted them at their residence in the 1400 block of Loop Road at about 7 p.m. Monday. The victims said the assailants asked "where the money was" and struck them before leaving with one victim's wallet and other personal items.

Prusha said both of the victims reported being punched in the face, and had minor facial injuries when police arrived on the scene. Neither of the victims required hospitalization.

The suspects were described as two black males and one white male, all between the ages of 17 and 20 and about 5 feet 10 inches tall. All of the suspects were wearing black jeans and black hooded sweat shirts, with white bandanas over their faces.

The victims said one of the assailants carried either a rifle or a shotgun.

  • Isnt this the same group, I call them the "Oreo Posse", that did a similar robbery some months back? Or were they caught? The black clothes are the same as before and the rifle too.
