The Portage County Drug Task Force arrested three residents of a Kent home Thursday for allegedly operating a methamphetamine laboratory there.
Trisha C. Towns, 28, Adam W. Thompson, 34, and Curtis P. Whitmire, 30, all face charges of illegal manufacturing of drugs, a second-degree felony following their arrests.
All three listed the home at 1248 Munroe Falls-Kent Road on Kent's west side as their residence.
After an initial investigation, task force agents obtained a search warrant for the home where they found chemicals, glassware, methamphetamine and other components used in the manufacturing process of meth.
The Kent Fire Department responded to the scene because o the possibility of a "flash fire" occurring while task force agents dismantled the equipment at the site. Officials said all potentially hazardous materials were removed from the site.
The task force will present the case to the Portage County Prosecutor's office seeking additional charges before taking the case to a grand jury.
The Portage County Drug Task Force comprises members from the Portage County Sheriff's Office, Aurora, Kent, Ravenna and Streetsboro police departments, Garrettsville Police Department, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Portage County Prosecutor's Office.
Hey Chief Peach, why in the world are you still involved with this task force? I've done aloooooooooot of research as it relates to this commander limbert, and I must must tell ya, it's a matter of time before you end up in "FEDERALLY COURT!" Do your constituents a favor, pick up the phone and dial any judge, attorney, police officer, court reporter, Sheriff (not dale kelly) or any summit county law man! protect your city from ant future civil LIBEL!!!!!!!! I reference dale CHAOS because, well you know.
Holy snikeys batman! Kent finally gotta drug bust and its a freakin meth lab! C'mon agents either $hit or get off the pot! I can see Kent's drug agent the morning after the bust! He prolly showed up on station beating his chest raw!!!! Haha make some hand to hand drug buys then you can beat your chest! Until then just keep beating off!
Maybe we need to rethink our punishment for meth labs. We should make those people stay in the house without any respirators. Maybe then they will get some idea of how bad this stuff is. I think the sentencing of these criminals needs to be done by the public. It sure is not being done by the judges.
