Ravenna burglar ordered to get treatment for drug addiction

Record-courier staff report Published:

A Ravenna woman has been sentenced to drug treatment for breaking into a Hazen Avenue apartment and stealing some of the resident's belongings, as well as prescription medication, in June 2012.

Portage County Common Pleas Judge Laurie Pittman ordered Jennifer T. Fiorilli, 35, of 153 N. Sycamore St., to obtain drug rehabilitation treatment at the Northeast Ohio Community Alternative Program in Warren once she receives a medical release to do so. Fiorilli also was sentenced to a five-year probation term, ordered to attend two addiction recovery meetings per week for a year and pay a $300 fine.

Fiorilli pleaded guilty to burglary, a third-degree felony, in October for breaking into an apartment in the 600 block of Hazen Avenue on June 30, 2012.

Ravenna police determined someone had entered the residence through a window and ransacked the bedroom. A witness told police they saw Fiorilli leave the victim's apartment carrying a bag. Officers went to her home, and she confessed, according to Portage County Prosecutor Victor Vigluicci.

  • The following, is taken from the list of 45 Communist goals contained in the book, "The Naked Communist" written in 1958: by, W. Cleon Skousen. Goal #38; Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat]. How many cases have been turned over to the shrinks (in Lieu of conviction) in the past year. Seems like Commie Goal #38 is being fulfilled right here at the "Portage County Discount House of Justice & Shrink Referal Center"
