Friday's snowstorms kept road crews and police busy, but no serious injuries were reported.

One person was transported to Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna following a two-car crash on Interstate 76 in Rootstown at about 11:30 a.m. Friday.

Lt. Nakia Hendrix of the Ravenna Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said the injured person was released from the hospital later Friday. Additional details on the crash were not available at press time.

Hendrix said troopers were called to the scene of multiple accidents with injury on I-76 Friday morning and afternoon, but none of the injuries appeared to be serious.

A one-vehicle crash on S.R. 14 just west of Lake Rockwell in Streetsboro had the road down one lane Friday afternoon, with police directing traffic, said Streetsboro Police Lt. Darin Powers.

The crash occurred at 3:17 p.m. and resulted in a van flipping over. No serious injuries resulted from the crash, according to Powers.

Today's weather forecast calls for snow showers early with a chance of lingering snow showers later. Snow showers and flurries also are in Sunday's forecast.
