Dinner-for-two raises funds for KACC

Published:

The Kent Area Chamber of Commerce and Laziza Restaurant are collaborating on a dinner for two opportunity good for the entire month of February. A complete dinner for two to share valued at $100, is available by reservation for only $75 (tax and gratuity not included).

"We wanted to come up with a unique fund-raiser, make the value undeniable, and of course encourage people to eat local," said Lori Wemhoff, KACC executive director. "Mike Awad, owner of Laziza, suggested we design a menu with choices of appetizers, entrees and desserts accompanied by a bottle of wine - the perfect dinner for two - and not just limit it to Valentine's Day or the following weekend." The dinner for two special can be scheduled for any evening in February.

"The entrée choices are amazing - porterhouse steak, marinated chicken breast, stuffed shrimp with crabmeat, or salmon - in addition to an appetizer, dessert and bottle of wine for two, all for only $75 - I hope my husband reads this," said a semi-joking Wemhoff.

Tickets can be purchased from the Kent Area Chamber of Commerce office at 138 E. Main St., Suite 102, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
