Motorist frightens Waterloo student

Published:

A Waterloo High School student reported an incident Friday morning that frightened her. The student told school officials she was waiting for the bus on Industry Road at about 6:50 a.m. when a man in a "boxy" orange car stopped and stared at her until she ran back to her house.

The girl said it was the second such incident this week. She did not report the first incident to school officials.

The Portage County Sheriff's office was contacted and is looking for information on the incident. The vehicle was described as a boxy, orange car with a white stripe or graphic on the side. Anyone with information about the car or the incident should call the Portage County Sheriff at 330-296-5100.
