Internet, some phones down in Crestwood schools

A cut fiberoptic line serving the Crestwood Local School District has resulted in phone service being down at some places within the district. Internet also is down throughout the district as a result.

Superintendent Joe Iacano said parents were contacted by phone about the problem with a message encouraging them to call the old numbers for each building.

Time Warner is fixing the problem, and service is expected to be restored by evening. Emails sent in the interim have not been lost, but will not be delivered until the line is fixed.

The numbers for land lines in the district are 330-174-2214 for the high school; 330-274-2249 for the middle school; 330-274-3825 for the intermediate school; 330-274-3824 for the primary school and 330-274-8511 for the Board of Education.
