More than 50 people turned out for the Portage County Industrial Roundtable Tuesday at Maplewood Career Center in Ravenna. Representatives from JumpStart and Goldman Sacks spoke about their scholars program. The feature topic was HR: Finding and Hiring Quality Employees. The panel was made up of Harry Walker, vice president of human resources for Cornwell Quality Tools, Co.; Marilyn Sessions, human resources and training officer for Hometown Bank; Helen Tauscher, human resources manager for Viking Force; and Kelly Jurisch, human resources manager for PARTA. The quarterly event is a collaborative effort between the Portage Development Board and the county's Chambers of Commerce.
