Ravenna wins 'Academic Challenge'

Students at Ravenna High School recently competed on Channel 5's "Academic Challenge" show. The team included, front row, Erica Mascio, Ashley Whitacre, and Chris Long; second row, Mason McCleod, alternate, and Terry Kekic, adviser. Ravenna High placed first during their competition round, beating the teams from Canton South, and Mentor Catholic. The Ravenna team also placed in the top 10 highest point scorers. The board of education will honor the team at its March 18 meeting, and Kekic, who is retiring at the end of the school year.
