Kent police stop school bus after fight

Published:

A school bus taking students home from Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent was forced to briefly stop with police intervention at about 2:30 p.m. Friday after a fight broke out on the bus.

Kent Police Lt. Jim Prusha said police responded after two brothers, age 15 and 16, began fighting during the ride home.

There were no injuries, and no charges will be filed, he said, adding that the school is handling the incident.

The brothers were taken home separately, though.

One rode home with a responding officer, while the other rode the bus home.

This gave both boys a chance to cool off, Prusha said.
