Crestwood Schools await the arrival of a new superintendant

By Rachel Hagenbaugh | Staff Writer Published:

The Crestwood Board of Education has narrowed its search for the district's superintendent position to two candidates, whom they will interview during two special meetings in executive session April 10 and April 11.

The first candidate, David Toth, is a principal at West Geauga High School in Chesterland in Geauga County. The second candidate, Mark Gleichauf, is the director of teaching and learning at Lakewood City Schools in Cuyahoga County.

Crestwood treasurer Jill Rowe said the interviews, which will begin at 4 p.m. will last about five hours each. Rowe said the Board of Education should make a decision Thursday night. If everything goes as planned, a special meeting to hire the new superintendent will take place April 15.

Superintendent Joe Iacano, who has headed the Crestwood Local School District for 10 years, is retiring effective July 1.
