CSX depot in Kent on fire

By Diane Smith | Staff Writer Published:

Firefighters from Kent and Ravenna were on the site of the CSX railroad tracks Friday morning for a fire at the original passenger depot on Stow Street in Kent.

Smoke was pouring from the small yellow building as firefighters fought the wind and rain to extinguish the blaze.

A person at the scene who did not give his name said the railroad uses the building for offices and storage.

  • very odd... that little building has been there for how long and now there is a fire? Even though CSX uses the building, I wonder who owns the building and land.
