Health care job fair is Thursday at the Northeast Ohio College of Medicine in Rootstown

Several area employers in the health care industry will be on hand at a job fair from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the conference center at the Northeast Ohio College of Medicine in Rootstown. The event is free.

Companies such as Robinson Memorial Hospital, Valley Care Health System of Ohio, Hattie Larlham, Community Caregivers and Altercare are seeking candidates for positions including physicians, emergency room medics, nurses (LPNs and RNs), state tested nursing assistants (STNAs), medical billers and coders and many others.

Additionally, representatives from the Kent State University College of Public Health and Fortis College will be on hand to provide information about continuing and advanced educational opportunities in the health care field.

Job seekers are encouraged to dress "business casual" and bring copies of their current resume. They will have the opportunity to meet with employers to discuss their backgrounds and interests to help determine whether there is a fit.

The event is sponsored by Record Publishing Company, The Alliance Review, the Community Job Club Inc., the Area Agency on Aging, The Alliance Training Center and The Alliance Career Center.
