Kent man not hurt in fatal Sandusky County traffic crash

A Kent man was not injured during a two-vehicle crash on the Ohio Turnpike that killed a Sandusky County man on Wednesday.

Semi truck driver Roger Tooley, 56, of Kent, was not injured when his truck was hit by a 2002 Honda Goldwing motorcycle near milepost 91 of the turnpike in Sandusky Township, according to the Toledo Blade, quoting an Ohio Highway Patrol news release.

Douglas Rhoades, 33, of Fremont, died at the scene. Troopers said his motorcycle crossed a concrete divider strip into a westbound entrance ramp and hit Tooley's trailer at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Blade reported.

The crash remains under investigation by the Milan post of the OHP, according to the newspaper.
