MONDAY

Robert J. Akers, 52, of Kent, and Sheaha J. Hardesty, 31, of Streetsboro. Sentencing hearings, 1 p.m., Portage County Common Pleas Judge John Enlow's courtroom. Akers faces a maximum of one year in prison after pleading guilty to permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony, while Hardesty faces between one and three years in prison after pleading guilty to illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony, based on their arrests at a methamphetamine lab uncovered by Portage County Drug Task Force agents at 6395 West Shore Drive in Franklin Township on Jan. 29.

Kelly R. Deem, 34, of Akron. Sentencing, 1 p.m., Enlow's courtroom. Deem faces up to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to attempted illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of methamphetamine, a fourth-degree felony. She and Nickalaus C. Rutherford, 28, of Cuyahoga Falls, were arrested by Brimfield police on Feb. 9 after leaving the remnants of a clandestine methamphetamine lab on the side of S.R. 43.
