Flooding has resulted in the closure of several roads throughout Portage County, according to safety officials.

Kent Fire Lt. Craig Peeps said Cherry Street in Kent between Overholt Road and S.R. 261 has been closed because of water on the street.

Lt. Brook Byers of the Mantua-Shalersville Fire Department said Diagonal Road is closed because of flooding. High waters have also closed a portion of Main Street (S.R. 44) in Mantua.
