Kent police have arrested a Franklin Township man they say robbed the Drug Mart on East Main Street on Wednesday.

Patrick C. Montgomery, 27, of 6594 High St., is charged with robbery, a second-degree felony. He allegedly entered the Drug Mart, at 1763 E. Main St., at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday and "used physical force against an employee to steal money from a cash register," according to Kent police.

Montgomery allegedly fled after taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The clerk suffered minor injuries, police said. Montgomery was identified as a suspect, and arrested Friday, according to Kent police.

Bond information was not immediately available.
