CSX began work Tuesday to replace a railway crossing on Stow Street in Kent near Mogadore Road. CSX Track Inspector Tom Butcher said the project is part of a slew of railway repairs on track stretching from McDonald (near Youngstown) to Barberton replacing about 70,000 railroad ties. Butcher noted restoring the crossings is required when the ties are replaced. Stow Road is expected to reopen to motorists by Thursday.
