A Nelson man saved a driver from a burning SUV after it crashed on U.S. 422 near the Portage-Trumbull county line on Tuesday.

Aheart Rudolph was cutting grass when an SUV traveling westbound on U.S. 422 flipped several times and came to rest on an embankment on the side of the road, according to WKBN-TV in Youngstown.

Rudolph pulled the driver out and told WKBN he moved back "about 30 feet" before the car burst into flames.

The Ohio Highway Patrol told the news station that the driver, who was not named, braked sharply, possibly to avoid something in the road. They credited Rudolph with acting quickly to prevent serious injuries or death.
