The Portage County Health Department will hold a Back-to-School Childhood Immunization Clinic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Downtown Ravenna Farmers Market.
The clinic will be held in the Homeland Security trailer located behind the market tent.
Under Ohio law, kindergartners are required to have five doses DTaP, four doses Polio, three doses Hep B, two doses MMR, and two doses Chickenpox.
Seventh graders are required to have a combination booster shot of tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis vaccine, otherwise known as Tdap.
Cost is $10 per shot, free to those who cannot pay. Medicaid, Buckeye, Care Source, and United Health accepted. Bring immunization records.
Additional clinics are every Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon at the Portage County Health Department Nursing Clinic located at 449 S. Meridian St., Ravenna.
