A Ravenna man is in federal custody after being arrested today by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents on probable cause of possession and distribution of child pornography.
A search warrant for the Highland Avenue residence of Daniel J. Bowman, 61, was executed this morning by agents from the FBI, Akron Resident Agency and officers from the Ravenna Police Department.
A federal complain to charge Bowman with possession and distribution of child pornography is expected this afternoon, according to the FBI's Cleveland division.
Ravenna Police Capt. David Rarrick said the case was initiated by Ravenna, and was turned over to the FBI when it was determined to be under their jurisdiction.
