The complaints against a 59-year-old Hudson doctor charged with 23 counts of sexual assault continue to grow, police said.
James Bressi, a former pain management doctor at Summit Pain Specialists in Stow, was arrested Aug. 30, one day after a Summit County grand jury indicted him on one count of rape, 11 counts of sexual imposition and 11 counts of gross sexual imposition.

"I'm still getting phone calls and we are in the hundreds," Stow Police Det. Jeff Swanson said of the complaints coming into his department about Bressi. "It's overwhelmed our department and I had to reach out to a fellow detective and the staff."
Swanson has been able to return about 70 of the calls as of Sept. 12, he said. "We still have another 30 or 40 to go," he added.
However, Swanson confirmed there have been no new charges.
Bressi's arrest was the result of an 18-month investigation by Stow Police, according to Police Chief Louis A. Dirker, Jr. The 23 charges stem from 10 alleged victims, Dirker said.
Bressi's attorney, John Schiller, was out of the country and could not be reached for comment.
Police are asking that anyone with information about the case call Swanson at 330-689-5734.
