A body was pulled from the Cuyahoga River in Kent on Saturday.
Dante Warren, 28, was pronounced dead by a Portage County coroner investigator at 1:05 p.m. Warren was reported missing to the Kent Police Department on Sept. 16.
According to Kent police, the body was reported at 12:22 p.m. along Stow Street near Kramer Ballfields. Police assisted the Kent Fire Department and Portage County Water Rescue Team in recovering Warren's body.
According to WEWS Channel 5, the body was spotted by a group of seven kayakers.
"We were standing along side the river discussing if we were going to get in the water because of how hard it was raining...and the body just floated by" Tim Gantzler of Massillon, Ohio, told the station. "We were shocked, it was so surreal. All I could do was call 911."
An autopsy is scheduled Monday at the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office.
