The Portage County Health Department has scheduled flu vaccination clinics for the rest of October. Vaccination is recommended for everyone 6 months and older.
Monday: Paris, Shearer Community Center, 9355 Newton Falls Road, 4 to 6 p.m.
Wednesday: Atwater/Randolph, Waterloo High School Cafeteria, 1464 Industry Road, 4 to 6 p.m.
Oct. 10: Aurora City Fire Department, 65 W. Pioneer Trail, 4 to 6 p.m.
Oct. 13: Suffield Fire Department, 1256 Waterloo Road, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Oct. 15: Mantua Township, Mantua Civic Center, S.R. 82 at Mantua Center Road, 4 to 6 p.m.
Oct. 16: Kent City Health Dept., 325 Depeyster St., 3 to 6 p.m.
Oct. 24: Rootstown Fire Department, 4152 Tallmadge Road, 4 to 6 p.m.
Oct. 28: Streetsboro City Hall Gymnasium, 9184 S.R. 43, 4 to 6 p.m.
All clinics are walk-in, no appointment necessary. The cost is $10 for children and $20 for adults. Medicaid, Buckeye, Care Source, United Health and Medicare Part B (as primary insurance) are accepted.
Nasal flu vaccine is available for children ages 2 to 18.
High dose flu vaccine is available for adults 65 years and older for $45. Medicare Part B as primary insurance is accepted.
