A 2014 Toyota Corolla LE donated by Don Joseph Toyota/Scion will be raffled off to benefit students in the Kent City Schools.
Tickets will be available for $10 beginning tonight at Theodore Roosevelt High School's homecoming game, where the "Barcelona Red" Corolla will be displayed near the ticket booth.
"As we celebrate our 50th anniversary as a dealership, we couldn't think of any better way to give back to the community that has supported us for 50 years," said Jess Joseph, general manager of Don Joseph Toyota/Scion.
Tickets will be sold by Parent Teacher Organizations at the elementary schools and Stanton Middle School. The Rough Rider All Sports Boosters and the Instrumental Music Boosters are handling sales at the high school.
Tickets will be sold until Feb. 14, and are also available at the dealership at 1111 W. Main St. in Kent. The raffle drawing will be held at Don Joseph Toyota/Scion at 1 p.m. March 1. The winner need not be present. Visit www.djtoyota.com for contest rules.
All proceeds from raffle sales will be distributed to the seven Kent schools to be used for arts projects, technology, athletics or playground equipment.
In addition, the top student seller will receive a $1,000 college scholarship from Don Joseph Toyota/Scion.
"Don Joseph Toyota/Scion has always been supportive of the Kent City Schools," said Assistant Superintendent Tom Larkin, "When Jeff Joseph contacted us about this raffle, we were surprised and appreciative of the opportunity. All our Kent City School students will benefit from this generous donation."
