Daniel Tighe pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated murder in the death of his son, 5-year-old Peyton Ralston, and murder in the death of his 31-year-old ex-girlfriend, Wendy, during a video arraignment before Judge Kim Hoover at the Stow Municipal Court Friday morning.
Bond for Tighe, 39, was set a $1 million. He remains in the Summit County Jail.
According to Tallmadge Police Lt. Ron Williams, detectives presented the case to the grand jury today. If an indictment is handed down, there will be further charges levied against Tighe, with death specifications.
Williams lauded Tallmadge police detectives for doing "an amazing job" investigating and assembling a solid case to present to the grand jury.
Tighe was arrested Thursday by Tallmadge police, with the help of the Akron Bureau of Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.
